That is a bit weird, I have no idea what it is. I don't even really think it looks like a very "welcoming" flower, if you can label it as such. But I wonder if any green thumbs online would be able to advise?
Either way, what an interesting capture and something I've never seen before, so very cool!

It is possible or maybe related somehow. There were agave plants in the area but the ones that I know are more "bloomin' onion" shaped. Leave it to me to associate the plant shape with a fried food! haha!
