Later, Nerds...

Antique Farewell #antique #fashion #farewell

Is an outfit still pretty even if I'm the only one who ever sees it? Can I have an experience even if it isn't captured in photos? Does something truly happen if I don't document it? I find myself forgetting and I'm off to remember and see...

Yes, this is a farewell of sorts. Not entirely and not forever, but life is calling me in a different direction. I will probably share a random outfit post or two in the future, but for now...it's a fond and warm-hearted goodbye. I know this is sudden and rather abrupt but oddly, I don't think it could have been otherwise. I'm not the sort to draw things out. If I see something that needs changing, well...I usually just take the leap.

I want to wholeheartedly express my deepest thanks to all who joined me in this brief, fiery flame. Please know that I appreciate all of your support, words, and shared adventures! You can continue to follow along in my life as I will still have my shop and instagram (@chatterblossom) and we can chat a bit there until a possible return.

Farewell for now my friends. It has been a true pleasure.
-Jamie

P.S. Hahaha, I'm so glad you liked the title! I was a little worried to use it because I'm sure some people haven't heard this new piece of vernacular, but it seemed to sum up my time with hilarity rather than sadness. ;-)

I will be busy trying to create with a rather large (very large) haul of gorgeous vintage millinery for my shop, I just got a new pupppy, and there is a trip to France in my future! So, life is just filling my time in a great way and I wanted to free up some time to enjoy it! :-)

  24. Oh Jamie, what a great shock and surprise. I fully understand though, and wish you the very best in whatever life has in store for you next. I hope dearly that all is well with you and that it isn't a great tragedy or hardship that has brought about this sudden departure from the world of blogging. Please know that if you need anyone to talk to about anything in the whole wide world, I'm always here for you.

    Godspeed and all the best!

  28. Jamie, when I read this post three months ago, it didn't register. The reality of it didn't sink in. Your online presence had been so stable and predictable that I couldn't conceive of you disappearing.

Many times since then, I've wondered about how you're doing. I miss your pretty face and friendly attitude.

I accept your absence and hope your offline life is well. Since I didn't believe you were really leaving, I never said a proper goodbye. Goodbye! Goodbye! *waving*

    1. This is tremendously sweet of you! Yes, it was a bit of a shock, and quite sudden so it is definitely understandable that it didn't feel real. However, it was a really good decision and just what my life needed. I really just didn't have time for everything I wanted to do and was starting to view my world a bit differently. Having just a bit more "breathing" room has been a wonderful thing.
I am on Instagram if you wanna catch up though! I don't know if you are on that, but let me know if so and I'll come chat with you there. :-)
