Saturday Shop Talk – "Adair"

Personality: The Majestic Beauty
Places you'll find yourself: Standing firm, gracefully waving goodbye to your love as he sails away, already awaiting his return...
This bronze floral bobby pin is set with an antique Victorian picture button from the 1890's to the 1910's. The design is of an oak leaf with acorns in gold on a light green tinted background. The name "Adair" means "ford at the oaks".

  5. Did you buy this piece? Very lovely! I didn't realize they had such lovely bobby pins like this at the turn of the century. But then again they had to pin up their hair with something:)

    1. No, I made it! Isn't it cute?! The bobby pin itself is modern, but I added a Victorian button to it. I sell them in my shop on Etsy. Glad you like it! ;-)

  17. What a gorgeous pin - my hair is pretty sure right now, but I do love using hairpins like these in the front.
