Thursday Thrill – May You an Emerald Be

May, that witchy wonder of velveteen springtime, who beckons the sun to creep into souls of earthen things, filling them with glowing life. A lush and unfurling life, ever pounding the lifeblood of summer's awakening.

Chorus from 'Atalanta'

For winter's rains and ruins are over,
And all the season of snows and sins;
The days dividing lover and lover,
The light that loses, the night that wins;
And time remembered is grief forgotten,
And frosts are slain and flowers begotten,
And in green underwood and cover
Blossom by blossom the spring begins.

  20. Beautiful pictures and the words tell such a wonderful story!

  21. Before I even caught wind of the fact that Pantone was dubbing emerald its hue of the year for 2013, I'd decided that green (in all it's many wonderful shades) was going to be my colour for this year, too. I've long adored it, but really realized last year that I didn't have enough green in my wardrobe and wasn't wearing that which I did have often enough. I've been making strides on both fronts throughout the first five months of year and am sure I'll continue to enjoy (and wear) green even more long after the ball drops again come New Year's Eve.

    Wonderful array of jewel toned pieces - I particularly adore the 1950s dress from Dear Golden.
