Saturday Shop Talk – In Shining Armor

Antique Knight Button Pendant by ChatterBlossom

"In Shining Armor"
Personality: The Fanciful Dreamer
Places you'll find yourself: Bursting at the seams with tales of romance and the loved heroines saved just in time to live happily ever after

Antique Fairytale Pendant "In Shining Armor" by ChatterBlossom

In keeping with the week of romance, I want to introduce you all to this pendant. This daring little knight on his trusty steed would love to steal your heart away. Made with an antique pewter button (circa 1870-1918), this charmer would delight in reminding you of epic romances and happily ever afters. And, really, who wouldn't like getting caught up in a fairy tale?

  7. I've been ogling the pieces in your shop and debating whether I should buy some. On the one hand, they're so pretty I want to; on the other hand, I don't want to deprive another person of wearing them more publicly than I can. I go back-and-forth on this... It's scary to be in my head. :)

    1. That would be difficult. Of course I'm biased, but the pieces I make are for an individual's enjoyment and love. You don't need to have them seen. Sometimes having something that is your own little hidden treasure is nice too. Most of my items are so tiny that the story behind them is lost on others and lives mainly in the imagination of the wearer. Like I said though, I'm a bit biased! ;-)

  8. Another wonderful story! I love that each of your pieces has this whole story yet it's open enough that they can adopt more stories!

    1. Ooh, I like that, letting them breath enough to adopt stories of their own. Beautiful Caroline!

  9. Such a classic, strikingly elegant piece. It conjures up thoughts of the Knights of the Round Table, chivalry, and even Robin Hood for me. Beautiful work, dear Jamie.
