It is a copperhead and very very venomous so hubby should keep away! ;-)

My first impression was Yikes! but as I look at the photos from the safety of my computer I can see that it is quite beautiful, Great Photography.
OMG, this is not something I would like to find on my front porch in the morning, I've got chills all over just looking at the photos.
Eeeeekkk...!!! But at least it's not a spider!! I can (just about) deal with snakes but spiders send me into a complete panic.

oh my snakes are very neat, but this one is a little large. Ive always liked them though, however mice send me into fits of terrorkate

Exactly right?! No worries, I recognized it immediately for the poisonous beauty he was and jumped back in time. ;-)
A copperhead, yikes! Talk about an unwanted (though very beautiful) guest. We have some poisonous snakes around these parts, too, chief amongst which are rattlesnakes. I've never had one show up at our house, but I have heard the distinct sound of their vibrating tails a few times when out in nature around the Okanagan.♥ Jessica
