Sunday Snag – Steal My Cape

How to style a vintage cape #vintage #styling #tips #fashion

Last Sunday I brought you the first of a Steal My Snag series that will be taking the place of regular outfit posts until the weather warms a bit and I can get outside. The first look I helped you steal was my "Picking Pansies" retro sweater (see here). Today I'll be helping you steal my "Fox & The Houndstooth" look with an emphasis on my 1960s cape. Mine is a black and white knee length houndstooth in a wool/acrylic blend. It is lined in cherry red with a mandarin style collar and large woven frog closures to the waist. See the original post with all my outfit details here. Below is a sampling of different cape styles to help you recreate my look or inspiration to create your own.

  3. Haha look like I got the kiddo size !
No just joking i also have a regular or two cape, like this, even the ones you shown are really really nice... But I hardly wear them because don't you feel it's difficult to match with the sleeves and the bag you wear ? I always have to avoid holding my bag on my shoulder lol.
Anyway, you look fantastic and I'm glad it's easier for you than me wearing it cause yours is splendid!
And, wait is that autumn when you took that pic, cause it is so lovely...

    Have a nice day dear,
