Friday Photo Tip – Introducing...

Vintage Styling #1940s #vintage #styleVintage Blog #vintage #blog #chatterblossom
Caramel Coated Autumn                                                     Kimono's Day Out

Friday Photo Tip!! Fridays were previously a series of posts featuring themed vintage photographs. That segment has been switched to Wednesday under the name "Wistful Wednesday".

I wanted to start a series where I share tips and tricks that I use for photography. I get a lot of questions and comments about my photography and how I take shots, which camera I use, styling, etc. and I thought it might be helpful and fun do one photo tip a week. Disclaimer: I'm not a professional. I just like taking photos. I'm not claiming that I know everything about how to do this. Quite the contrary. I've just learned as I went along, so I figure tips might be helpful coming from a regular non-professional person. You know, just an average gal who is giving it her best attempt and learning from mistakes (many many many mistakes).

Whatcha think? Is this something you all would be interested in? Are there any tips you'd like to see or any questions you want to ask so that I can include them in a future post? I plan on doing posts about the equipment I use, locations I shoot in, body positioning tips, editing processes, photogenic myths, and just general tricks I use to get a shot I'm happy to share with you all. And by all means, you will be more than welcome to give and share your tips with me and others too!! This is a learning process and any tricks you all have would be most welcome!! :-)

Please please please voice your questions on this!!! I need some direction and would love to be able to start opening up a helpful forum for photography/styling!

  17. I LOVE this idea! I feel like I'm getting down my macro shots just fine, but as soon as my face is in the frame, I'm feeling like a total weirdo. So I would love tips and tricks for selfies and or having the husband who is much taller than me take a flattering shot!
